To Those who Have Been Determined to Have COVID-19

２ PCR Testing for Close Contacts
People who were contacted because they were suspected close contacts should request a test.① Apply for a testing kit
Shiga Net Uketsuke Service’s Application for tests for close contacts (Japanese only)Note: PCR testing kits are sent by mail. Make sure to enter your address properly.
Note: For families, apply for each member of the family individually.
② The testing kit will arrive after 2 to 3 days
- Download the HELPO health care app (Japanese only).
- Enter the invitation code in the app. The 8-digit code will be in the email from the application. Make sure to write it down.
- Follow the instructions on the app and sample your saliva.
- During the test, confirm each step in the testing manual and follow them exactly.
③ Sample your saliva and mail the package
- Use the Yu-Pack pick-up service. You can apply from this website (Japanese only)
④ Receiving test results
- Test results will be announced on the app.
- If the result is “probable infection (virus detected)”, the public health center will contact you.
３ Reduced Isolation Period for Close Contacts
- The isolation period lasts 7 days and the person is released starting from the 8th day.
- Essential workers can be released starting from the 5th day if they get tested two days in a row.
４ Health Monitoring for Close Contacts
- People who were contacted because they were suspected close contacts and who were tested should monitor their health for 10 days after the last day on which they met with the COVID-19 patient.
