It will be applied to those who are under medical treatment from September 7, 2022.
Period of Medical Treatment
◆Period of medical treatment for symptomatic persons: excluding treatment with a ventilator, etc.
(a) Those who are not hospitalized, or not admitted to the elderly care facility
The recuperation period is 7 days from the day following the day of symptom onset, with the day of symptom onset as day 0 (to be released on the 8th day). However, 24 hours must have passed since the symptoms improved.※Because the risk of infection remains until the 10th day (the 7th day for asymptomatic patients), take the following measures to prevent infection voluntarily.
- Check your own health condition by taking your temperature.
- Avoid contact with high-risk persons such as the elderly, unnecessary visits to high-risk facilities, use of places with a high risk of infection, and dining out, etc.
- Wear a mask.
(b) Those who are hospitalized, or recuperating in an elderly care facility for medical treatment.
The recuperation period is 10 days from the day following the day of symptom onset, with the day of symptom onset as day 0 (to be released on the 11th day). However, 72 hours must have passed since the symptoms improved.◆Period of medical treatment for asymptomatic persons
For those who have never had symptoms, the day of specimen collection is day 0, and from the following day for 7 days (to be released on the 8th day).if a negative result is confirmed by the medical antigen qualitative test kit on the 5th day, it will be released on the 6th day.
※Please purchase the test kit to be used for the negative confirmation on the 5th day by yourself, which is a government-approved antigen qualitative test kit (not for research use) sold at pharmacies, etc.
- The antigen qualitative test kits distributed at the test kit distribution and positive person registration center cannot be used for the negative confirmation on the 5th day.
Going out during Medical Treatment
In order to prevent the spread of infection, you are not allowed to go out including going to work or school during the period of medical treatment (during the period of restriction on work). However, symptomatic patients who have been symptomatic for 24 hours after symptoms have abated, or asymptomatic patients (those who have never shown symptoms) may go out to do the minimum necessary shopping for groceries, etc., on the condition that they take voluntary infection prevention measures, such as staying out for short periods of time when out and in contact with others, not use public transportation when traveling, and always wearing a mask when out and in contact with others.
