- Self-test using the antigen qualitative test kit distributed by the test kit distribution and positive person registration center
- Tests conducted under the Free PCR Test Program
- Self-tests using medical-use antigen qualitative test kits purchased by the applicant
【Eligible Conditions for the Test Kit Distribution and the Registration of Positive Applicants】
Those who have symptoms such as fever that meet all the following conditions- Those who live in Shiga Prefecture or who are staying there for a long period of time
- Those who are under the age of 65
- Those who are not at risk of severe disease (*)
- Those who are not pregnant
- Those who are stable symptoms at the time of application and can judge by themselves that they do not need to visit a medical institution.
- Those who are able to receive medical treatment at home by using over-the-counter medicines, etc.
- Those who can be contacted by e-mail regarding results or inquiries
*(e.g.) Decreased immunity due to malignant tumor, chronic respiratory disease, chronic kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, smoking history, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, obesity (BMI over 30), organ transplantation and use of immunosuppressants or anticancer drugs, etc.
Application for the Test Kit Distribution
Please apply using the test kit application form (available 24 hours) posted on the Shiga Prefecture website below. (Only in Japanese)- Each person is limited to one application per person. It is not possible to apply for testing kits for multiple people such as family members at once, so please apply one by one.
- The test cannot be used for the purpose of shortening the waiting period for persons who have been close contacts with a patient. please purchase your own medical antigen qualitative test kit, which is available at pharmacies for testing to shorten the waiting period.
- Please check carefully as we may not be able to accept or distribute it if multiple applications are made or there are errors in the application contents.
- In order to deliver the test kits to those who need them, we ask that you use this system appropriately after carefully checking the conditions of the subject.

Delivery of the Test Kit Distribution
The kits will be delivered to the address you have applied for in about 2 days of your application.- Delivery outside the prefecture is not available.
- It may take longer depending on the application status and shipping procedure.
Notes on the Examination
- If your own test results are positive, please write your name and the date of the test on the kit itself that shows positive and save it as an image on your smartphone or other devices.
- The image of the test result is required when registering the positive person information.
- The “negative” result does not negate the possibility of infection. Please continue to take thorough measures to prevent infection
